So due to all of the craziness while traveling on day one, day two became our first official day exploring LA. However, before we went anywhere our first priority of the day was inquiring about my best friend’s luggage at the airport. We could not get through to their customer service over the phone so we finally just decided to go to the airport and see if we could at least talk to someone that could help. The airport was even more hectic than it was the day before. There were long lines and suitcases everywhere! Which explains why we could not get through over the phone. So I waited in line while my best friend searched through suitcases to see if she could find her luggage. After someone giving us the tip that the luggage was somehow sorted by the airport tags attached to them we then eventually found her suitcase and just left the airport. Driving back to the hotel, our Lyft driver was a LA native so we asked him for recommendations on stuff to do during our trip. He told us a lot tourist attractions in LA are overhyped and overcrowded with tourist so we should partake in local activities like thrifting or go to local restaurants and bars so we would not be overcharged at some fancy place just because it is in Hollywood. It was definitely good advice. LA has a lot of thrift stores and we barely spent any money because everything was so cheap. We even found some small antique shops that had some cool stuff, like old vinyl records. And, we ate delicious food at this cute local Mexican restaurant.
